Re: 94c
Need a little more info.
What motor is this clutch installed on? Does the motor actually idle, or does it shut off when you let off the pedal? |

Re: 94c
You will have to try to get some specifics.
1. What pucks, and spring are installed in the clutch? 2. What is the current engagement rpm? 3. What is the current idle rpm of the motor, and does it return to idle quickly? |

Re: 94c
I will post that info when I get home the idle is around 950 and returns quick in my book in my eyes the does not move smoothly opening and closing
The clutch when ordered it was to be 2000 rpm engagement I have seen on here somewhere where the pucks where installed backwards should that be a possible |

Re: 94c
Yes, the pucks can be put in backwards. I did it. Well, the story goes....I didn't have any experience with this clutch and really didn't pay attention to how the pucks were arranged before I took the cover off to change the springs and pucks. I was trying to tune the clutch and when i put the pucks back in they were turned around, with the little nub on top facing the wrong direction. I finally figured it out and it works really well.
Also one thing to note, when these clutches are brand new the pucks don't slide very well. It does take some driving time to get them broken in really well. I don't know exactly how long, but I think it took maybe 10 hours of drive time to get them to "wear in". After that the clutch worked much better, much more smooth and quiet. I noticed when it was new there was a lot of squeaking and rattles. |

Re: 94c
Clutch reacts to load so it will always shift different without a load. It should engage about the same if there is a belt running in it.

Re: 94c
Clutches often act different in different applications, you really have to baseline run it and see what you have then go from there. You can't assume X will work like you want when it comes to setup with them. I'm on the third spring in my clutch and it worked better than the others, but I just cut it shorter to get it closer to what I want...and it did....so next time I am going to cut it shorter yet lol. The only nice part is when you get a clutch (cvt) working like you want, you usually don't ever have to do a thing to it again excepting for wear items.
