Transaxles --how much power can they take?
Mulling over ideas for yet another frankenbuggy project. Thinking about taking something like a pre-97 CC 272 transaxle, converting it to stub outputs for CV joints for semi trailing/A-arm irs and putting a bike motor to it.
Can the 272 hold up to something in the 70-100 hp range or are there other, better choices aside from going with a Quaife/Protodie box etc. Primary goal is to find a better-price option for reverse. |
