Default red big bear-ez-go build

I started another build to make some $ to start working on my golf cart again. This will be a simple build. I'm putting a 94 big bear 350 under an 86 ez-go. This is after the first 3 hours of work. I have a Facebook page that has some of my projects on it. If you want to see what all I build, check it out, Knk Built, from Assaria, Ks

After another 5 hours I have it setting together. My wife ended up having today off so I got to play in the garage. I am going to have to do some extra work on this one before I start mounting everything together. I don't plan on lifting this cart any higher then I have to, to get the big bear under it, so I am going to have to push the front end out so the tires don't rub. This means a lot more work to hook up the steering, and to make it look better, I'll put the front 4 wheeler plastic and rack on it. The other part that is going to cause more work, is the right side of the frame is rusted out, so I will have to bend a piece of pipe to replace it. So here it is 8 hours into the build.

Sorry the pic's are sideways, I took them with the camera upright, they are upright on my computer, as soon as I upload them to here they go sideways, I don't know why.

I wish I had pic's of my green one the second time I built it. I ended up building it 3 times before I sold it. The first time was just to have a side x side, the second was to play in a muddy creek, so I shortened it and jacked it up, This was the coolest but I broke the frame, stripped out the rear axel, and broke the transfer case off. I bought another big bear and built it a third time and sold it to build a complete custom cart. So this is pretty much the forth one I have built with a big bear and it is pretty much falling together. If I could just find enough people who want something like this, That would be my dream job.

Lots want one, not many can afford what it would take to make one and the ones that can afford it, just end up buying a razor or something similar.

The guys like us that like to do fab work are about the only ones that build anything like this.

I actually would like too build one like this and have been keeping my eye open for a donor quad that isn't too highly priced, I'm one of those ones that can't afford to have one built. :)

This one is the cheapest one I have ever built, $100 for the golf cart, the big bear was traded for some labor on it until the owner didn't want it any more, He paid for the parts, I figured that the labor added up to around $300, and close to $100 for wheel spacers, metal, welding wire, and cutoff wheels for my grinder. If you brought me all the parts, I'd be able to build it for $250 for one like this, for one like the white one it would be $800 - $900 in labor. With all the work I had the machine shop do, I have just over $2500 in parts and materials, I have everything to finish except the Lexan glass for the cab and windshield wipers.

Well My wife had 4 days off and I got to spend 2 to 3 hours a night in the shop. Here are some more pic's of my progress.

The first pic is to show the rusted out part of the frame, the second is the new bent and extended frame.

Here are some pic's of how I mounted the golf cart body to the big bear.
I also put in a pic of how I keep lifting and moving the golf cart around so I can work on it with out having to bend over it or craw under it.

I had to remove the steering stem mount to change the angle to align with the golf carts steering stem. I will get some pics of the finished steering and post them later today to show where I am at after about 18 hours into the build.
