1991 Marathon Rabbit Golf Cart
Ok so I originally got this cart from my mother in law. i was given the task of fixing it. It's a 1991 marathon electric. The wiring is completely screwed. So, i found a cheap 1994 txt and gave that to her.
So here is my project. 1991 Marathon. Engine swap is going to be something motorcycle/atv 300-600cc....just waiting for the right one to come along. I am also a vw addict and am going to bring that into this build with a front clip from a MK1 rabbit. Here are a few pics: This is what I started with..... |

Not that shrinking down a bunch of Rabbit sheetmeatal is a piece of cake, but at least there are not too many compound curves and angles to deal with.
Love the idea and definitely gonna be watching this build! |

I am lucky enough to have a nice welder and kinda know how to use it. For the really structural stuff, I have a certified welder that lives across the street...lol

I had a set of air shocks and ordered a second set.
I have also decided to add a rabbit dash to this cart. Stay tuned! |

That actually looks kind of cool! I look forward to seeing what else you do with the cart.

Re: 1991 Marathon Rabbit Golf Cart
I havent had much time to do anything. I did decide that the cart will be stock rabbit width. So spacers and 13" keystone wheels are going to happen.
