g2 rear ends
im still collecting a few parts for my ezgo build, and at the moment im looking at buying a g2 rear end. the plan is to put a 500 cc buell blast motor in the cart but i still want to have reverse. the rear end is local and priced at $200. so im looking for any input on this style rear end.

Re: g2 rear ends
That rear end had been described as bulletproof.

Re: g2 rear ends
G2/G9 rear ends are bulletproof IMO. I've beat the crap out of a few!

Re: g2 rear ends
The G2 rear end is what I have behind my 25hp Kawasaki V-twin and it's doing just fine!

Re: g2 rear ends
I'm assuming everyone is talking about the gas rearend. Is the electric rear end useful to anyone?

Re: g2 rear ends
No locker on the market, but there was at least one member had one made for this rear end. It worked great for him and he is running a 992cc Generac engine that is supposed to be putting out near 50hp.

Re: g2 rear ends
Only way I heard of breaking them is with a MC engine and dropping the clutch, the shock can mess things up. If you use a cvt you never have that. Guys with 1000cc rice rockets running the dunes shift gears easy and have no issues, they have such a wide powerband they don't need to shift much anyway. While in gear they gas on them hard in the dunes no problem.
