motorcycle and cvt combo
has anyone combined the two? i will be putting a 500cc buell in my cart and i was just wondering about the combo. pros cons anyone actually do it.
it would be nice to not "have to" use the clutch from the bike..... any input would be great. |

Re: motorcycle and cvt combo
It will depend on the drive clutch from the bike but it might be possible.
I will let those who might know more chime in to correct me if I am wrong. |

Re: motorcycle and cvt combo
Jackshaft is about the only way to do it, ive seen a college mount the clutch on the pass side on a bike snowmobile but thays not for home gamers.
I would just hook it to the factory rear end first and have some fun first. |

Re: motorcycle and cvt combo
My question would be why...the blast engine has an internally cased transmission...I wouldn't see the secondary pulley living very long from the gear changes.

Re: motorcycle and cvt combo
I think the idea is to leave the bike in 4th or 5th gear.
Stock style cvt with pedal start is awesome, i like and use mine at 8hp like that then more then bike gears and clutch at 50hp. Wife and kids can now drive it. |

Re: motorcycle and cvt combo
Im just looking to make it easier for the GF and kids to drive. I kinda got in trouble when i told her she would have to learn to drive it like the atv...... I've sort of took over the cart and its more or less an atv now.
