Default TRX350TM Yamaha G1

Greetings everyone,
I just bought my 2nd G1 and I was wondering has anyone put the engine and rear end from a Honda rancher into one of these? I see the chain drive 300x but I have a Honda rancher motor and rear end lying around. doesn't look to hard, just cut the axle perches off the old G1 axle weld them to the Honda axle make the engine mount, cut the driveshaft to fit. BOOM shaft drive G1 with an automatic clutch. what are you guys thoughts on this? I haven't taken any measurement of the axle difference but it cant be much.

Matt, smallblock450 was suggesting to can find a lot of info on atv swaps if you wanted to read up on it, there is a lot of work involved in swapping one over, you make it sound simple, but you also need to figure out your wiring, lifting the frontend to match the rear, cooling becomes a factor, braking, throttle, shifting linkage, suspension.. and a lot more, a lot of people start a build like this and never finish, I would suggest you read through a few of the post and get a few ideas and go from there, good luck on your build and start a build thread, the guys are more than willing to help you out with any issues you might have..

Man I say start cutting. My 300 is a electric shift. It was fairly easy. Mark all your wires as you go.
