Default GY6 conversation

Hello. I’m new to this forum. I’m planning on putting a GY6 motor in my electric EZGO. I’m looking for ideas on how to mount the gy6 shaft to the input shaft of the cart axle? Thanks

You can use sprockets and chain drive it. Depending on the final drive it may need a jackshaft to get the ratios right.

What GY6? 50cc to 250cc, you will not be happy with a small engine,,, but I have an addiction for faster and bigger so build it, I'll watch.

Gy6 in the search box brings up nothing,,then i find this and it's a dead end.
a complete 150cc is so cheap it seems like a good option for a yard cart with not much money spent.
guess i'll keep looking and see what comes up.

Yup 150cc is too small. I'd say 250cc minimum. I got a 18 hp chinese 250cc ATV/bike engine off ebay for $700 new and put it in my cart. I wouldn't go any smaller than that. Mine will do 30 mph.
