Default ATV Engine angle??

I have a small single cylinder Suzuki engine and I was curious how crucial the mounting angle need to be in relationship to front and back of the cart?

I don't have a lot of room above the head and if I tilt it forward a few degrees I can gain a few inches, but I'm not sure if it will affect how it runs?

I don't think a few degrees will impact anything crucial. Think of how many atv's drive up or down hills without any problems. However, the issue with too much angle for long periods has to do with the oiling of the engine and how the oil sits in the crankcase. So if you NEED a couple degrees of angle, I'd say it's ok. If it's too much, say 10 or 15 degrees, it might have a negative impact.

You would also have to take into account the float type carb, that when the engine is in the bike most are pretty level if you go to far off from how it was in the bike the fuel level in the bowl would need to be considered.

I have seen bikes(moto and sport) riding for miles down the freeway on the rear tire, I don't think a couple degrees will hurt anything.
