Default Ezgo Medalist rear diff angle

So I'm putting this small Suzuki engine on my Medalist and I don't want a super long chain or extreme angle on it either, so my question is if I can tilt the diff housing towards the front of the cart so with the cover facing the rear and not the bottom (like a truck) without affecting the way the differential lubes itself?

Also, I should mention I am going to spin the axle 180 degrees so that the shaft is toward the passenger side of the cart because it lines up better with my engine. The leaf spring mounts aren't an issue because I'm making a custom 6-inch lift and engine cradle that will double as a swing arm If I decide I hate the ride of the leaf springs.

I'm thinking it would mess with the lubrication. The ring gear is responsible for splashing the lube onto the the rest of the parts. If you rotate it, the gear lube will splash the wrong direction, if at all. Also the gear oil is designed to flow down the axle tubes into the axle bearings. You'd have to open the diff up to see where the flow locations are, if you rotate the diff it might change how much lube gets into the tubes.

Not a golf cart, but it shows how much science there is in the diff splash system.
