600rr ez go build

I have a 2002 ezgo with the 9 hp motor that I am swapping in a 2005 cbr 600rr motor. I've been watching this site for a while to get ideas, and have decided to go with Hillbillys rear end idea... I have a 17 tooth front sprocket, and the 11 tooth rear to put on the stock diff (should kill alot of the ratio in the rear?). Engine cradle is almost done, and the motor is fired up and ready to go... fuel injection was a little tricky to figure with all the sensors, but ready to go now. 107 hp and 15,000 rpm to play with, should be interesting... being built just for fun in the neighborhood or maybe light use at the dunes or camping. Any ideas are welcome, and if you know something I don't about this build feel free to jump in...

Your Swing arm design looks good, you will have some good side to side articulation. I would like to have seen some bigger tube used in your swing arm, I used that same size in a EZGO with a Snowmobile engine, a 433 CC, the torque and power broke it more than once. I have a 2004, 1000RR in my Yamaha cart, it may be a little heavy but I have not broke any of the frame and have gone over 100MPH and have had MANY hard launches. Keep the pics coming Please!!!

I used 1x1 .120? and will put some gussets in when I figure out where everything ends up... I was kind of wondering if it was to small? This is also for Rifter... I read somewhere you were a FE fan? Me too... here was my last project. 700 - 750 hp conservitive guess is what I was told when all done, and 7000 RPM runs all day... just thought u might get a kick... back to the cart

Yes, I was , well still am an FE fan, they just cost soooo much to build. That is one sweet engine in that boat, I don't much understand Turbos, yours go in under the carbs so that really puzzles me. I'm building a 351 winsor stroked to a 408 from Ford Strokers right now, hope to have a time slip before summer's over. It will have a Golf Cart body but that's about it. Keep the pics coming on your cart, with the trick stuff you did on the boat I know this cart will be a beast.

Now that everything measured good on the engine cradle, I pulled the cradle and axle out to weld engine tabs... chain will be adjusted by putting a turnbuckel between the motor and the black plate with tape on it that is mounted on rear diff, this will also keep axle from twisting in u bolts... once chain is tight, I will tighten all 6 u bolts on axle... did the extra 2 inch block just to be sure I would clear fuel injection under seat. Mounted in test stand, motor measures about 33" to the top. Sprocket fits splines perfect (clutch was a job to get off)... will use 3/8 split lock saftey collars to keep in place.

Where did you get the rear sprocket? I need one......I'm building the same thing just with a gsxr 750 and was trying to figure out how to get a sprocket on the rear end.

Check the thread by hillbillyhangover... search "cooling ideas" and it is in there, part is from Dennis Kirk. It is a 520 sprocket, so you will have to make sure you get a 520 front sprocket.

Dropped in perfect! only problem is with the fuel injection being so tall, there isn't much ground clearance with the oil pan... that's if you are doing an offroad cart? As far as what I'm going for "just a cruiser", it's awsome! If i was to do it for offroad use, I wouldn't suggest an FI motor... will still work great at the dunes, as there aren't to many big rocks out there haha...
