Default New pics of 600 gsxr build!!

Have not been on here in a while.
New pics.
Engine is in, High speed gears in, chain drive connected.
Building the aluminum body right now and that will take me a few more weeks.

Then its radiator, brakes and clutch pedals and cables, steering, and finally wire up engine and other electronic things.

I figure it will be at least 2 or 3 more months before this baby is done.... and off to the custom paint shop.

Black or red?.... votes?

It HAS to be black with those wheels... That looks really good! Cant wait to see more photos! I'm starting a 1000cc build with a 1990 marathon, check out my thread and tell me what you think.

Nice body.

What gauge plate are you using? What kind/type/make/model of welder are you using?

I am looking to do something like this for a rear end on my club car. Nice work. Send lots of pics of you making the body. What other tools are you using to make the body? How are you making your bends for the hood and such?

sweet looking ride. i forgot that i had a third option, and that was gsxr motor and a three link set up with the stock rear end so i could keep reverse. And guess what you beat me to it. It looks great. Can you give me some up close pics of the clutch setup you are running. I think that is the way to go. i have a lot of toys with big hp, so whats one more.

thx guys

leaning toward black because of the rims, but my seats are red/black so i could go either way I guess? Wife wants black, I want $*#&$ from her, so I guess it black> lol

I am using a millermatic 210 mig welder. I am using 1/8 alum. and cut my parts out with a skill saw, mark the bends out with a marks a lot and take it to a local shop where they bend it for me as per my instructions and design.

Building the Body is a challenge, but is really fun because its its like art work and really satisfying to see it come together. Lots of time thinking about the next move so u do not waste the expensive alum.

I will get more pics up of the chain setup I used. I took some pointers form a couple of guys here and I am still in the process of refining that solution. I mounted the engine so that it pivots on the bottom mount and easily pivots forward/backward for easy chain adjustment.

dis is gonna be one badass lil jeep/cart when done!!!

Already getting offers to buy it!

Pics of the chain drive and adjustable engine mounts to enable easy chain adjustments.

I used an 11 tooth 520 sprocket from dennis Kirk site (off a polaris atv). Machined a sleeve with allen screws to slip over the splined shaft of the tansaxle and a bolt on the end of the sleeve to secure it (bolt not in place yet as u can see in the pics).

I will be machining a counter balancer sleeve and shaft that attaches to the sprocket sleeve with a pillar bearing to take the load off the the splined shaft when the chain is torquing up and fabbing a chain roller and guard.
