Default Slow long 600cc build started!!!!!!!!

ok guys i just bought my cart! its pretty perfect for me. i dont know the year or model and they guy i bought it from doesn't either so if you know let me know please. The guy i bought it from had the exact plans that i did, gsxr 600 motor, he even mocked up the 05 gsxr motor and said it fit perfectly.

the cart alrea has a 3 wheeler rear end, with drum break. i need wheel spacers for the rear wheels to fit. the rest or the cart is in good condition. no motor or anything in it, fully stripped engine bay. He gave me the stock gas can, dont know if ill use it or if it fits with the motor yet. not in the pics is the rear plastics. there sitting in the garage. let me know what you guys think for 200 bucks. i think its a pretty good deal since the conversion has already been started.

ok, well heres my confession, ive only worked on cars. i dont know to much about bike motors or golf carts. im trying to figure out whats the first step after i get her cleaned up. since it has the rear in it should i get the motor mounted next? orrrr, should i mount an extra car starter motor up to the cart with the chain and 2 car batteries and drive it around the neighborhood while i fix the rest of the cart up and get the motor and linkage up and ready. :)

also im trying to figure out cooling issues. i was planning on running a side mount radiator with an electric fan. if i cut slits in the the side of the body and run that you think this will work? i am in orlando FL so it is hot here. its actually going to be used as a golf cart, only played with alittle, never absolutely beat on, but maybe a little showing off here and there.

you stretched it with the 1000rr motor, can i fit the 600cc motor in without stretching the frame? i think so cause ive seen enough carts like it. kind of want my cart to be like this but with a quieter exhaust

It's a yamaha G9, if you want to find out what year it is the body tag is on the frame under the drivers seat, its visible in the 3rd pic.

I just started working on a G9 also - it was electric so I had to strip everything, fix some rust and stretch the swing arm to fit a better engine.

I stretched it and widened it, it's been 115 MPH that's where I had the yellow run up the back of my neck but would have easily ran faster. The bike engine carts are something you should take alot of thought into building, how fast your thinking of going, how it's going to handle, and mostly how your going to stop it. I have built a proven cart and I will GLADLY help with anyone's build if you want it. I have taken alot of bashing from a certain organization and now have been totally disqualified from their racing venue because of the bike engine and rear drive but I'm fine with that, I build to have fun.

Is this a late model injected engine, do you have the big air box?
