Default ATV club car

Hello,
Im starting a build on my 91 club car. I blew the engine out and couldn't find another one, then I saw all these builds and decided that I wanted to put an ATV engine in and the rear axel of the quad I have a 250cc quad bike that would like to use, is that enough cc? its semi-automatic and 5 speed, and shaft driven. The golf cart will only be used on a complex it has quite a steep hill, anotherwise just used for driving through sand but like dirt road not sand dunes. Thanks Robert ps any other advice on this build in much appreciated :)

I thought about installing the rear clip from a Honda 250SX. And horded some pictures of a couple other installs. It's definitely a good option. The engine isn't terribly powerful, but because of the gearing the cart will probably do close to 40 mph.... and carry 2 - 4 adults pretty easily.

Thanks for the reply 40 mph is enough for me since the speed limit is 40kms so im set then :) but the problem with the club car its frame is aluminium so that means alot of bolts and hole drilling. The bike is a utility so hopefully it will be somewhat strong the bike it self hits like 70 km sorry im on the metric system -Robert

Yea, sounds like you got the right idea. You might look for a ring & pinion for your ATV rear & regear it for more low end.
So what ATV is it? Is it a chain, shaft or belt drive?
