Axle? What design? Axles for a golf cart rear axle? A live axle using a chain? I use a Live axle from a Mini Sprint car in mine 1 3/8 diameter 4130 Chromoly using a 530 chain. Tell us what your wanting to build and I would bet someone has pictures on here for you.

Rifter has a very nice setup meant to with stand some abuse...I have chosen to use a ATV rear assembly. It's all what you want!

My cart weighs 1150 lbs without me in it, 154 Horse power, a pair of Hoosier 10 inch wide slicks, launch at 12000 RPM on the limiter. The axle takes some abuse.

Bubba, don't listen to Rifter....He's now building Ezgo's and recomending clubcars To be honest, there is no one better for info on a bike engine build. He's been there, done that. Wish he was closer and he'd allready have mine figured out Are you thinking a straight chain to the solid axle or a jackshaft, or a clutch/belt/clutch set up?

Hey, thanks for the replies. I was thinking like whats in a 4 wheeler or 3 wheeler. Chain driven to the axle itself. Thanks

Either will work. Straight axle (like posi) will make turning on asphault a chore, but in dirt and sand ideal, atv diff's are a great option also. Read all the posts/threads in this section and you will get an idea I'm shure will work for you. I do want to add, some say these things will never work and rightfully so. There have been many started, like mine, that are not finished yet. As for being young and inexperianced....I don't buy that. Yes the money could cause setbacks, but the "POWER" of imagining and building has no time/age line. If I hadn't had motor cycles ( as a kid) with a father that said, "you break it,you fix it", witch I did break often, I may have stayed in the MBA employment field I went to college for. Now I just fix golf cars Good luck on what ever you decide...and don't stop asking questions and building Dave

I know it will be challenging.... but i have pretty much everything i need. Got the Motorcycle (1993 Yamaha Genesis fzr 600) the golf cart (1984 Cushman) And now a 4 wheeler to use the axle for (1987 Honda Trx). One more question i have... is there any way to put front brakes on this without getting a whole new front end? I would use the one off the 4 wheeler but its pretty tall, and i dont want a lifted golf cart. Any input on anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can use the 4 wheeler front suspension lowered, you may have to widen or narrow the top A arms mounts to get your camber correct.
