low air cleaner clearance options

i am looking for a low profile or even remote air cleaner setup for my 23hp B&S vanguard. i have looked around but havent seen much. i only have about 1.5" from the top of the motor and a frame support (i cannot move the motor laterally any further)

I used a K & N and adapter set from www.alphacarts.com once. Seemed to take care of clearance problems for me, since I don't lift my cars.

awesome, thanks... that is exactly what i was looking for! by any chance do you remember how much clearance that adapter provides? i am looking at about 2" or so.

If your takeing off the factory air cleaner assy, I'd say 3 to 4 inch's. Might want to look in the "for sale" section, there was a member selling a Mikuni set up for like 175.00

The throttle responce , thru the entire rpm range, is light years better then the stock 2 barrell. In my opinion.
