1992 ezgo atv/street bike engine options
Hello Buggies Gone wild members,
Picked up a 1992 ezgo with bad batteries (for Free) so i decided not to spend 500 bucks on battery's and just strip it for a gas build. i took all the electric parts to a local golf cart guy and traded him for a club car rear end with reverse and a set of atv shocks because the electric shocks were shot. I finally had the time to install the rear end and shocks but now i cant decided what motor will work the best with what i have. What do you guys think? [IMG][/IMG] |

You need to dismantle down to the frame, that's the starting point.

That engine should make that cart really move. It will be quite a bit of work, but worth it when your done. To much power...... Can you have such a thing?
I don't reconize that axle, must be out of a precident?? (never seen the inside of one of those) Probly hold up alright, but I don't know for sure. |

I'm building a r1000 right now and i don't think that gearbox/tranny would hold up. there also not geared super fast. i went to bmikarts.com and got there 1 1/4 chromoly tubular axle with 4 hanging bearings. also a atv rear end might work but make shure it has a wide wheel base

....... yes start dismantling this thing till its completely taken apart.......even thou the frame looks like it has fresh paint, repaint it, then ditch that rear end for a mini sprint car rear axle, 300 doesnt seem like quite enough for an engine, id try and source out a more expensive one,
