Default GSXR 600 yamaha golf cart build

Well i am new to this. I have always sand draged my banshee now looking for something a little different. So i embarked on getting a yamaha golf cart and a 2005 GSXR 600 engine. So my build has begun. Has anyone ever used a quad swingarm and rear axel, will it hold up? Does the front end need to be replaced with something else safer? Any help or comments are greatly appreciated. Thankyou!

The cart you have Yamaha G9 is what I built mine from, you can take a look at my build pics for ideas. The Quad rear should work fine. Are you going to keep it low to the ground? The front suspension that is on there is dangerous after 50/60 MPH, graft on the Quad suspension and use all the brakes. Keep the pics coming, this I want to see.

ok great i have lots of extra banshee parts to fab up a front end. I also wanted to ask what kind of shock people were running in the rear end. I have a spare yamaha banshee shock and wondered if it would work or hold the weight.
I am in the process of mounting my swing arm up now, just have to get the swing arm shaft made.

It's a Mono shock right? Basically any shock that will hold the ride height/weight and still have articulation. You could find a Coilover shock and change the spring size until it gives you what you want, I'm not sure what the spring rate would be on yours with the leverage that the swing arm has, also if you plan to have a rear seat the spring rate will have to be big for the extra passengers then when you don't have passengers it will be too stiff. I run 2 coilovers with 90 pound springs.

I used the motor/swing arm off an ltz 400 works great so far Ive been beating on this thing over a year now I used the stock strut/ and put a 650ibs spring on it. the spring was a 1/2in taller than stock it helped for ground clearance
