Default shifter on a gsxr 600

I need some ideas on making a shifter on my 600 cart...

Here's what I did. Works great. Not to bad looking. Cost: about $40 bucks.
Cheapo automatic multi-fit floor shifter from Summit Racing.
Note that you'll need a dedicated clutch pedal to use any shifter.

I use a gas pedal off of a old golf cart to use as a clutch pedal works good. On that shifter is that cable or rod .

It's a rod. The shifter came a ton of "extra" parts to adapt to most transmissions. One of the long rods was about perfect. I've got some pics of the underneath someplace...I'll see if I can find them and post. Pretty simple in any event. The shift shaft linkage is oriented downward, and extended about 3". Had to bend the rod to clear the engine cradle, but it was really simple once sorted out.

Thanks for help!!! just order shifter I cant wait for the pictures been trying to picture in my head how to do this its not working.
