Polaris 800 EFI engine in a Yamaha G16
With the campground shutting down in 2 weeks I decided it was time to start my winter project. I already have long travel up front with Can Am Renegade shocks. In the rear I will be building a 3 or 4 link setup. I removed the stock motor and trial fitted the Polaris motor. Looks like it's going to fit just fine!

Nice, that thing is going to haul ***.
Are you going to put high speed gears in the rear end? |

I will see how it runs and decide then if I need to regear it. I mainly will use it on trails. My buddies, with stock carts have to get running starts to get up some hills and even then sometimes don't make it and have to roll back down (very dangerous). I want to be able to idle right up the hill with no worries. 70mph in a golf cart sounds suicidal to me.. But a fun way to go!

It is very dangerous, you have to build safety into every Bike Engine build. I can't stress this enough. |

Why tip toe through life? You're just going to die at the end. Just kidding but seriously safety is the first thing any one should consider before doing any mod.

Which is why I am beefing up the suspension. Stock setup wasn't up to the task.

Now you tell me Rifter Have to say VB ,you seem to have the build under control. Any plans for brake upgrade and maybe a rollbar/cage? That is a killer looking power plant and 800cc efi should be outstanding. Will it fit under the stock seat location, or will you have to lower the swing arm mounts? I know I'll be watching. Good luck on your build
