250cc yamaha in Club Car
Just picked up the next project, not sure the year of the cart or engine but it runs so I can't complain seeing as I only spent $500. Seems most of the functions are rigged and half way work. Reverse is a small lever on the floor next to the shifter but the rod that engages is has a lot of play and bends so you have to play with it to get it in reverse. Shifter seems ok for the most part. It has a key start but it's hit or miss but it has a pull start that cranks it right up. The brakes seems to be all but gone, i'm hoping it just needs new pads. Engine seems to have a leak around the timing chain cover. And the wiring could use some cleaning up. The body is was sprayed with Linex and seems to be in ok condition other than around the wheel wells and holes below the seat where factor components were removed. There's a switch by the shifter that shuts off current to the spark plugs and a valve in the fuel line that has to be shut off, otherwise the fuel empties out and floods the carb.
Plans are to fix all the rigged up work, put a lift on it, probably 25" tires, add a radio/speakers and a functional dump bed. |

Re: 250cc yamaha in Club Car
Thanks Dave. I'm always searching for deals. I really didn't need this cart as I need to finish the conversion and need to start on my personal cart but I just couldn't pass it up.
I figure even if I just put lift, wheels and clean it up a little it should make someone happy and I should be able to add a little to my cart fund. |

Re: 250cc yamaha in Club Car
That would be perfect for my wife as a yard cart but I have to get the conversion at least complete, if not sold before I bring another cart home.
