Default Anyone have recommendations for a painter?

We've decided to paint our existing DS body metallic charcoal/slate gray, with a lime green mud splatter pattern.

I've talked to one local golf cart shop and their custom paint jobs START at $950.

Are there any other avenues for painting? And does anyone have any recommendations for a painter in the Houston TX area?

Of course it depends on location for pricing. But I had my 6 seater concierge which has 3 separate parts to the body painted for under $500 at a local auto body/motorcycle paint shop.

I just google local awarded body paint and chrome shops to determine which was the nicest in the area:-)

For what you want done, that's a pretty fair price. If they're doing it right, that means they're removing the body, sanding, filling, spraying adhesive promoter, primer, base coat, mud splatter, clear coat and then replace body. That's a bunch of work. Oh yeah and, setting up equipment and cleaning afterward (my favorite thing to do). The cost of sanding pads, filler, adhesive promoter, primer, paint, clear coat.
You might find an auto body shop that will do it a little cheaper or you might want to check with the guys at an auto paint store and see if any do side work or might know somebody that does shade tree work.
My local Carquest sells auto paint, there's always someone there looking for side work.
You also might be able to save some money by removing and replacing the body yourself, save the cost of a couple hours labor.
Prepping is simple with the body off. First dewax and sand or scruff body
then you could take it to be painted. Save some more labor cost.
That's bout all I can come up with.

Wow, that's a deal. Even if I could paint like that, I surely wouldn't do it at that price.

I don't know if Lenny is an option for you or not, but I second him. He does awesome work, he did my seats and body.

We use Switzer for some of the carts we "build up", but then we are in N.E. Indiana so it's not so far away for us. We've been very happy with what they've done for us.
