EZGO Paint Not Glossy Enough. What to use to make it shine?
We have an older EZGO that needed lots of TLC. I sanded the body with fine grit automotive sand paper. Fully taped it up (we didn't remove the body from the cart.
Then applied activator / adhesion promoter. Finally, sprayed Krylon Fusion Paint (Patriotic Blue) - but it doesn't look shiny or like "Gloss" as can said. We painted outside with low breeze, low humidity. (No access to indoor shop or garage). How do I get it to "shine bright like a diamond"? LOL I don't want to spray something on that will break down the Fusion paint or cause cracking. We are on the beach and conditions are salty & harsh. |

If you sprayed gloss paint, it should be glossy if applied per the directions. Do a small spay out on a piece of cardboard and see it it dries glossy. This is typically done before the paint is applied to the vehicle, but oh well.
How rough was the surface when you put it on? Did you put it on heavy enough to keep a wet edge as you were spraying? And did you happen to 'go back over' some areas as you were finishing up? |

I'm wondering what type / brand of clear coat... I don't want to put something on that will damage the work already done.

It looks more satin than glossy. I was hoping to get more of a "hi-gloss"

I would think you are spraying it on too dry. Needs to lay down wet, without runs!
