Default Clear coat

Hey, just painted my cart, added coats of clear last night. Looks like there are some white blemishes and a couple bumps in the job. Should I wet sand it down and then compound polish it? Tips please. Thanks.

Done with spray paint with primer mixed.

ok I zoomed in on the pics... I can see the zebra pattern so you didn't keep it wet from pass to pass.... so you got some hard dry orange peel....

You will most likely sand thru the clear into the paint before you flatten it out..

Do you have any sanding blocks ? what grades of sand paper do you have ?

How nice do you want it to be ? :)

I can give you some hints to do it again if ya like...

Thanks for the reply. I have 300 and 1000 wet sand and a block. I can sand it down and redo it. Just not sure what to do here lol. Advice is good. I think it's mostly the front. The rest of the cart isn't bad. I haven't seen it in sunlight yet. Been in a garage.

Ruatolium paint + primer in one 2X spray.

Just to clarify I am not looking for a professional finish. But want to know if I can do anything to get streaks of clear coat out and maybe bumps

I would: Sand the whole thing down. Patch gouges etc. best you can. Paint with Rustoleum automotive primer. Sand smooth. Paint with Rustoleum rattle can automotive paint. Decide after that if it even needs a clear coat.

But, man you really need to do a better job taping the thing. Also, remove the wheels and bumpers and jack the thing up. Not really that much work. It will pay off with a much nicer finish you will be happy with.

It was my first paint job on a cart. . I really didn't get paint on anything important I can't touch up. So if I sand down the clear coat, can I just go over it with acetone and then paint it the same color blue? The cart was green before and that didn't show thru at all.

Hey Ms I believe as the guys stated above. You're going to have to sand back through the clear to straighten it out. I painted my cart in my backyard shop and it was a very long tedious task.

LOTS AND LOTS of PREP!!!!!!! You can fix it but you are gonna have to take your time and I know that's tough cause I wanted mine done in a day and it took me like 4 weekends to finally finish.

I do believe when you spray it again you're gonna have to keep it wet to not have the dry spots.

Good luck man!!!!!
