Default Cutting wrap seams

Getting ready to wrap my cart and have watched quite a few videos and searched the forums but I still dont see any info on how exactly you cut the overlap seams without cutting the vinyl underneath the seam? Any tips appreciated.

I just started to wrap my cart and it definatly not as easy as it looks. In my research one video said to overlap the seams by 2 inches. If you need to cut just 1 layer you could put a couple of layers of painters tape onto of the layer you do not want to cut and place the vinyl you want to cut over the tape. I have never actually try this method but I would imagine that you would feel the blade catching a little bit more on the tape and when you feel that, don't apply anymore pressure. Pull back the cut layer, take off the tape, and place the top vinyl back down. The bottom layer should still be intact. Just an idea.

Thanks B,
Thats sort of what I was thinking but could not actually find a video explaining the process. I think the only place I will need to do this is in the bag well area since I will apply that piece first them overlap the side rear fender areas and when I do the overlap wont be cut to size so I was wondering you you trim it with the bag well vinyl underneath it.

Thanks, yah I watched all 6 he had in a series, pretty good detail but never did he make an overlap cut. I ordered some knifeless tape to use on the back seams, see how it goes.
