Default paint

i have a g16 and im wanting to paint it with a standard sherwin williams auto paint. its what the local parts house carries. i told my dad i was getting some and he freaking out saying it needed to have a additive in it so it would flex with the plastic body. is this true?

There is an additive you add to paint for plastic. Helps it adhere to plastic and flex, less chips and cracks. So, yes.
The paint shop will have it.

Adhesion promoter or flex agent. The brand of paint you buy will sell additives for that brand.
Read some threads in the paint section, there's all the info you'll need.
Good Luck.

Cartrr
The adhesion promotor and flex additive are two different products, the adhesion promotor is sprayed on just prior to spraying the paint. If you're cart is indeed plastic this step is a must. The flex agent goes in the paint but in my experiance you do not need this as it is more designed for plastic bumpers and such that really do some flexing during removals and installs. If the plastic body on you're golf cart is doing that much flexing and cracks you're paint then you are going to have bigger issues than paint if you know what I mean.
