Default Smoke lenses

Anyone know the process for smoking lenses? I was thinking when I get a light kit about smoking the lenses on the headlights and taillights.

I was really looking for a spray paint of some kind like the VHT stuff, but I heard DuPont makes a black with clear mix that is better.

There is a guy who professionally paints and clear coats them for cars, I think it's called Jon's Tails. Google it. Might be a little spendy.
