Question on company Paintwithpearl.com
Anybody have any experience with this company ? Their pics look awesome but... I just bought a cart for the paint job, sad I know. Has the color changing dark green to purple metallic colors painted by my local dealer. Not sure what he used but I think his was way more expensive. I really like it and I am looking into some of this companies other colors.

Re: Question on company Paintwithpearl.com
That type of paint that changes from one color to another used to be called chameleon "like the lizard".Years ago it first came from Ford and was very very expensive, they would actually come to you're shop when you ordered it and mix it for you and take the rest back with them. It is a neat looking effect but you cannot touch it up so that's just food for thought. As far as this company goes I have never used them but you could always give it a shot.

I had bought some of their Shimmer Orange Copper Candy Pearl and Orange Copper Holographic Flake. What I used worked good for me. looks real nice in full sun. Can't beat the price.

BigJose, that Ford is off the hook in your avatar. I'd trade a kidney for that.

We were always told it was the same blend they use in money that is why it was kept under lock and key. You had to prove the car came in that color and like it was said you only got enough to do what needed to be done. Anything left got sent back. Chevy came out with something similar in 2005 or 6 and used it on the Tahoe's and some other stuff they called it island blue or something like that and it only lasted a year or 2. it didnt change to green but more purple and blue. |

HOK has a bunch of different colors. Very cool! Takes a base color like siver or gold, like the candies.

Re: Question on company Paintwithpearl.com
I own paintwithpearl.com. Yes, we sell dry pigments that you mix with clear. Touch ups to chameleon paint are indeed possible, if you save some pigment from your paint job for later. The pigments on our site are identical to the ones that you will pay a ton for from HOK or other brands. Click on the stars (4.6 / 5) rating on our site to see how our own users have rated us and our customer service. BTW, the proper base coat for any chameleon is black.
