Painting roof?
Looking to paint my 1997 EZGO TXT roof black (currently white). Any suggestions on the correct type of coating or process? I tried Krylon Fusion but it immediately fish-eyes.

Re: Painting roof?
I used a black marine paint purchased at Menards. Took a couple coats but worked great.

Re: Painting roof?
tops usually have a release agent on them.( so they don't stick to mold when they are made)Use scotch brite to scuff surface and go to auto body store and buy primer that is made for that it comes in spray can or gallon. If you don't use this primer it will look good at first but peel off after a while

Re: Painting roof?
It is a special primer. If you go to a auto body paint store and tell what you are using it for they can hook you up.Sorry but can't remember what it is called. It has a special etcher in it.

Re: Painting roof?
I first gave it a good wash with a scotch rite pad. Then used Adhesive promoter which help paint adhere to plastic. Then Dupilicolor paint & clear. It has held up great.

Re: Painting roof?
How did you apply the primer and/or the adhesive promoter? Unfortunately, the only thing I don't have is a sprayer. I was going to have to rely on rattle cans.
