***Frame Coating's***
I picked up a 81' club car last week for 50.00 and have stripped it down to bare frame. I need to replace the 2 outside battery tray's and bend a bracket back in place before starting on my build but my question is while ive got it down to the frame what would be my best option to coat the frame?...I planned on just painting it but wanted to here what other member's have done.
Thanks in advance... |

Re: ***Frame Coating's***
Personally I use this product on all my vehicles that I'm down to bare frame metal with: http://www.eastwood.com/chassis-blac...FZQbKgod-TEMHw
Stuff is amazing, course it works best painted on with a gun, even a cheap one. |

Re: ***Frame Coating's***
The Ceramic is nice, but I have only used that stuff on cars that are gunna be show cars. It's hard to paint, and has a crazy quick flashpoint. Personally I would use the Original stuff on a golf cart and the POR15.
I will post ya some pics tomorrow as I just sandblasted the rear frame of my 89 ezgo tonight and will be painting it with the original chassis saver. I had to go down to bare metal with mine since the dang thing burned up in my driveway last summer. Picking and scraping off all that original insulation sucks, and they put it on every panel. This stuff is great because it sticks so well. I made a nerf bar for my Landcruiser and painted it years ago and still looks nice. |

I personally also use the POR 15, you can apply it with a brush and it comes out smooth and there is very little prep that needs to be done. Just make sure you read the directions about not getting it on anything because once this stuff dries it does not come off.

Re: ***Frame Coating's***
Thanks guy's...How much do I need to buy? Cart was originally down to bare metal when I purchased it. (Club Car = Aluminum) Ive already started scuffing the frame, main goal is just to put a one time coating on the frame that I wont have to touch up all the time. I have OCD when it come's to my toys...Thanks again guys!
