Stressed,........on cracks
got stress cracks in my fiber glass,....before I paint how do I need to fix these? Thought I'd get some marine tech and patch from inside but still afraid they will show back up. looked to buy a new front but can't find any for a cushman hawk,.......

You have to grind them out unfortunately. If they are small odds are just in the gelcoat and not the FG. Then fill them back in with glass or duraglass, and finish with standard autobody products. If you go into the glass you should put glass back in (cloth) and taper it wider. If the panel flexes there a lot try to beef it up inside. The thinner the paint/gelcoat on it the less it will want to crack.

something else to do if you have a crack. before you do any grinding or cutting, take a drill and a small bit and drill a hole on both ends of the crack. that will stop the crack from progressing. as far as the cracks themselves, you can also just bevel the edges and then fill them in with resin, mat, or duraglass. as far as reinforcing you can epoxy some pieces of sheet metal on the back side to add strength.
