Welcome Tak
All of the carts I have done I have used about a quart. Now with that said there are some variables so let me explain a couple. If the cart is all one color, meaning no different shades (primer etc) a quart will do. What color you are painting and the color you are going over can also affect it. For instance if you are painting mettalic paint it takes a little more to achieve hiding. Basically just try to make sure what you are painting has no color differences and you should be good with a quart.

Thanks for the response! Well my plan is to go with a solid color, and I have narrowed my choices down to two colors. Either a metallic viper blue, or a lime green on a white ex go body. Does that give you any more of an idea on how much I would need?

I also only use about a quart for a complete body but as Master66 says it depends on if what you are painting is only 1 color. I would spray the plastic with adhesion promoter, then a sealer primer, let dry 24 hours, light sand with fine 3M or sand paper, apply your base coat in 2 or 3 light even coats, then shoot your clear in 2 to 3 even coats in the time frame your paint supplier suggests. If your going to flame it shoot at least 3 coats of clear because you will need to sand the clear before you flame it and before you final clear it, you do not want to sand through your clear into the base.
