what is the best way to paint dp? i want to change mine to a satin black.

I use a metal etching primer then seal and paint over it.

A sealer like a regular non high build primer. Just don't let the etch dry for more than 24 hrs or you will have to scuff it before applying the primer. Just follow the directions for the dry times until topcoat. I will usually wait for about 3 or 4 hrs between each that way I don't have to scuff anything.
