Krylon Fusion Looks Like Krud
I prepped my cart as instructed by some folks here and after 3 coats of Adhesion Promoter, started with the krylon fusion ultra flat and after 4 coats it still shows spray marks and pretty much looks like an idiot with a spray can painted it (me). Plus I hate the color, but I went with flat to not have the spray marks that I have. Can I lightly sand this paint, re-prime and go over the flat with maybe a satin better-quality paint and have it come out decent or do I need to get it back down to the bare plastic? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Krylon Fusion Looks Like Krud
you can sand it then make sure you wipe it down NO SHINY SPOTS then re-primer it an start over I'v used that Fusion paint on patio furniture an yer right it sucks! you can clear over the ultra flat but I'd do a test on somthing 1st I painted a old wheelhorse mower with Krylon rustoleum gloss red then just said wth an used krylon clear over it looked good for a couple months then the clear started to yellow an darken so when i re did it last year it came into the body shop an got done right. LOL!

Re: Krylon Fusion Looks Like Krud
I sprayed this with Krylon Fusion Ultra Flat. You have to change the tip on the can to fan the paint out. If you use the tip that comes with the can you will have stripes. Regular Krylon paint has the good tip.

Also if you have applied the adhesion promoter you do not have to use the Krylon fusion for the top coat, you can use any kind of paint you want as long as it is compatible with the fusion.

Maybe, but it is also technique. I painted this top with Fusion and the original tips and I have no stripes.

Re: Krylon Fusion Looks Like Krud
Thanks for the replies, it makes perfect sense about the tip. Any thoughts on a camo-dipped body vs. an "automotive grade" painted one? Which one should last and not scratch or fade? And on the new EZ GO camo carts at the cart stores, how is the camo applied?
