Spray Can Question
Is there any reason not to use gloss paint as opposed to satin or flat? I am looking for a good navy colored paint. I found Krylon Fusion navy blue but it only comes in gloss.

Re: Spray Can Question
To the last response. As far as the actual post,You can use any finish, just test a spot first,to make sure that the base-finish is compatible.Laquer over enamel causes wrinkling and lifting,as do some other newer paint combos'.Also make sure it is very clean and oil/grease-free.Clean the parts with prep-solv. or laquer-thinner and wipe down with a tack-cloth.This will prevent fish-eyes(small "holes" in the paint),lint,dirt,etc..The actual finish,be it Gloss,Satin or Flat is entirely up to you,and what look you are trying to achieve. Some Gloss-paints have different levels of gloss also.I use Rust-Oleum Professional Red-Oxide Primer, and Gloss-Black on most of my projects. Its' reasonably priced(under $6 per can and they are oversized),The finish is very, very durable, smooth and looks like a factory finish, instead of ultra-glossy like others.Hope this helps.
