G16 paint project
I read tons of great info from every one on the site so i started painting my G16 today. If anyone reading is as worried about doing a paint job themself instead of spending a ton of money as i was then i suggest doing research on here and do it! I think its going great and am extremely pleased with the first part! I took advise off of many posts and went with stripping the plastics off, clean well!, then sand everything and blow off and rub down with alcohol, let dry and use the AP spray for extra help and I'm using Krylon fusion Hammered silver. I did the front hood today and will be starting the back tomorrow. ill post a few before and after pics so anyone interested can follow progress. Thanks!

Great job! I just did mine. All went perfect until clear coat. It wrinkled. Pondering if I'm going to try again. Keep up good work.

Re: G16 paint project
i originally wanted nice glossy look. But now that I look at it with just bomb can, it gives it a nice rugged textured look.

Re: G16 paint project
I agree. I used the hammered silver and it has a gloss finish as well as the textured look. I figure it'll hide imperfections a little better too. Its a camp cart and late nights can get a little stupid so it'll get beat up lol. I figured with not clearing it I could touch up easier if needed.
