What about vinyl wraps?
Been looking into having my cart painted as I dont have tools or a proper environment for DIY. Local cart shop is quoting me 900-1200 for a solid color on my plastic body.
He did offer vinyl wrap at $ 820. Any opinions on the wrap as for quality/durability? How about these prices? I may just be naive but this sounds high to me. |

$820 a little high, it's freaking vertical. I bought a cart kit for $180 and did it myself in an afternoon. It's real easy, give it a go.

Re: What about vinyl wraps?
I'm having a buddy of mine who owns a vinyl shop do a wrap on mine now. I'm not sure how much he charges as he's hooking me up, but I'll ask him later when I talk to him. $820 is a bit steep IMO. BTW, I see people advertising on Craigslist for solid color cart paint jobs starting at $300. Can't speak to the quality of the work, but I would think that $900-1200 would buy one hell of a custom airbrushed paint job.

Re: What about vinyl wraps?
Lets put it this way, I am having a Dodge Caravan work vehicle wrapped for $1000. $800 is very steep to me. Same place told me they would wrap my golf cart for about $175.

Re: What about vinyl wraps?
It all depends on the design you want to use. Something like Camo is a lot cheaper just because there is plenty of vinyl that is available in the camo pattern of your choice. Where a lot of the cost comes in is the artwork you are doing. The more complex it is, the more time it takes to design it. Like paint, the bulk of your cost is not in materials, but in time.

Those are good prices. I've seen some companies quote $2-3000 for a full wrap on a truck or van.

They sell pre-cut wrap-kits for carts all over the Web for $250-$400 with some wild designs.I think some of the site-sponsors may offer some as well!

Re: What about vinyl wraps?
I had a body shop paint the body on my last cart. They took it apart and put it back together for $350.00.
