paint to clear
I used rattle can....duplicolor....I just put the gloss black on and have waited 3 days now. it is totally covered (about 5/6 coats black,3 coats primer,1 coat AP), i have the orange peel as i expected it would have, but the black is very blotchey it seems shiney in the vertical places and the dull in the horizontal places. what should be done at this point? should i sand the black down to get the same shinyness all over? or am I ok i just need to clear coat over the gloss black and that will cover up the duller areas? then wet sand the clear and then put some ultimate compound on. help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Leny |

Re: paint to clear
I would take some clear and spray it on the dull and shiny surface in a small area that are next to each other and see what you get as a test. If they look the same after clear and drying for a day then go for the rest of it. If not then we need to figure out where the difference is coming from. Nothing comes to mind right now but maybe you could take some pics and post them.
