Default body work

The body on my g16 is pretty beat up. Paint needs to come off and it has some deep scratches and one part is melted. I know I can sand the paint off and most of the scratches but what do I do with the deep ones or the melted part? Is there a bondo thats flexible?

Please read my sticky thread on prepping plastic bodies for paint as that will give you a little guidance. I will however give you a quick heads up on sanding the old paint off. Try very hard not to break through the original color and get into the bare plastic when sanding as this will create a whole different issue. It isn't one you can't fix per say but it is best if you don't. To fill the scratches use a polyester finishing putty or glaze as they call it.

Where can I get the putty or glaze? I will probally have to sand down to the plastic on some spots where the scratches are. Also, should I use a adhesion promoter if I plasti dip it?

anyone that carries auto body supplies should carry it. After you sand and do the body work you want then spray the adhesion promoter on the whole thing before you plasti dip it. If you sand into the bare plastic do the body work and sand, then adhesion promoter and spray sandable primer on those areas. Sand the primer clean and plasti dip.
