Default Drive Belts

OK, I have my VC 460 Clone pretty much dialed in, Low end power you wont believe but no top end.

My motor is running very well. but cant get very much top spreed. I believe the drive belt is to long, and wont compress the driven clutch, I am using a 10986 that I believe is the stock EZGO Belt. I have a 1357 that came with the kit but it seems to be about 4 inch's shorter, So short in fact I cannot install it. Ir there a belt available between these too extremes? Maybe 1 or 2 inches longer than the 1357 belt? Where could one obtain such a belt?

I looked at all those options and it just confused the issue. Can someone just give me the number and/or a source for a belt that is 2 or so inches longer than the 1357 belt that is supplied with the VC swap kit?

1357 does not seem to reference any 1 3/16 wide belt.

It is a 10986 that caame with the VC kit. This appears to be the standard Club Car belt but is at least 2-3 inches to short for my install. The stock ez go belt is about 2-3 inches too long (won't compress the driven clutch so no top end) where can I find a belt that is someware inbetwwen these two extremes.

Maybe call CPP they have another belt, that is a 1" CC belt and there are few 1" wide belts out there. Though Geoff should know all about the kit if installed properly. 1" belts are oddballs, 1 3/16 is the standard but CC clutches must be modified to work with them and you can get many sizes in that width. Many sleds use 1 3/16, tons of sizes in those, utv, ag equipment, etc.

Vegas Carts has a 1.1x44 inch belt, this made all the difference in the world, The cart will now float along at 27-28 MPH;

Vegas is really good about helping people out he should have an answer, but there are not many 1" belts out there.

about 1" of deflection from a straight edge on top.

run a straight edge between the 2 pulleys, then push down in the center with a cheap ruler. Anything over 1" and under 2" will do ok.

If you mark the clutches with a sharpie (big thick line from top edge to the center) you can see how well they are functioning by how much gets rubbed off..
