Clone engine mount
I am re doing my G-9 with a new clone from Vegas carts. Can anybody with a G-9 clone in it send me a few pics or ideas on the engine cradle? I need every inch of space I can get cause of the carb intake problem. Looks like if I drop it a little lower and more forward that may help. Sho how bout yours?

Re: Clone engine mount
I suggest getting the mounting plate and the 90 degree elbow that comes off the carb. I tried everything on my g2 and that ended up being the best option. Then off the elbow used flexible pic to make a snorkel which is great for 4wheeling and keeping clean. I'll see if I can't take a pic tomorrow but the g2/9 has the smallest amount of workable space.

Re: Clone engine mount
I would really appreciate that thanks a lot!!! I have messed around with Mikuni carbs that were not as wide as the clone carb. Would run great but couldnt keep any type of manifold I came up with not leaking air or banging the shock over rough terrain or some other problem. I guess I am a backyard mechanic not back yard engineer

Re: Clone engine mount
Vegas Carts. You have to call and ask about it. I didn't know about it until geoff chimed in when I was trying to solve the same problem. Here are some pics but excuse the mess. we just moved and had to take the cart apart to fit in the trailer and now I am putting it back together. Normally the air filter is siting on the roof with a scoop to help keep it clean and dry.

Re: Clone engine mount
The new ones are mandrel bent and much smoother, they help a lot with the clearance of the air filter./carb.

I'm almost done with my G9 build. Here's the link to my thread. If you want more pictures just ask and I'll take them and post them.
