removing clutch off engine
Sorry guys, I have done this before and can't seem to find the write up. I know I can buy a clutch remove tool but somewhere on here there is a homemade way. Can anyone help me out a little. Thanks again.

Re: removing clutch off engine
If you have a bolt the puller thread size, you can fill the hole with grease then screw the bolt in and it will compress and can push the clutch off. I usually just make a rod out of a bolt instead. Don't mess with the sheaves whatever you do.

Re: removing clutch off engine
If you do not have a keyway on the shaft the old bread trick will work. Stuff bead in the hole and tighten the bolt. After three slices of bread the clutch popped off. I know it sounds crazy I found this out on this site. Heavy grease will work as well. I tried the bread trick on a clutch with a keyway. The bread comes out the keyway looking like a noodle and the clutch never came off without a puller.
