You posted the $299 coupon.I was just doing a mock build with almost all bolt ins for cheap. No welding,no fabricating.Just a saturday afternoon project with basic hand tools.The only thing that would be trick at all would be cutting the crank snout on the clone.Some claim you can use a hacksaw with the engine running.The whole idea came from your $299 coupon and vegascarts $19.99 clutch adapter.

Yeah your right but I have an 16 or an 18 HP vanny also in my parts bin.
I just can't decide what to do as with the vanny I need a lift

At the start of my engine swap I did not want to do a lift either but whichever way you make more power the only 2 ways to really make the most of it are larger tires that need a lift kit or high speed gears that are costly and require a trans axle tear down.In the end I added 24" rear tires with a 4" lift kit and quite a bit of rear bumper support metal surgery.

Raydhd - was that a one day deal for real? I'm buying a 420cc predator tomorrow at HF. $359 and 20% off for Labor Day. I already have a Jakes 7" on my G14 cart, wheels and tires, lights, flairs, etc. kids ran it out of oil, so... Need to get the stuff from VC since I have no fab capability and would like to know any "tips" you might have since you did a G14 already...

VC still has them for the deal of the day.I am guessing they are getting out of that part of the business.They really recommend the comet 780.Never tried the stock clutch with the adapter so can't advice on that.As far of the rest I used their kit and it fit perfectly.The only fab work I did was the muffler on their header and throttle lever extension to use the throttle cable from the transaxle.
