Default Predator 420 with HD springs still only 3600 rpm????

I have a Predator 420 with governor removed and I installed 35 lb HD springs and chromoly push rods and it spins 3600 rpm??? Is that normal? I thought I would have gained at least a few RPM's??

Carb jetted up? 1.3 rocker arms? Timing advance? Exhaust? Air cleaner?

Jetted up, K&N filter, about 4 degree advance key, and pretty free flowing exhaust. Stock rockers still.

You should have no problem hitting 5000 RPMs. Something is wrong. What kind of tach?

Does that tach have an inductive pick up?

You need an Equus 8068 with an inductive pick up on it for an accurate reading on a single cylinder engine.
