Default exhaust help!!

Has anybody used any type of flex pipe for an exhaust to get from a short piece of exhaust pipe to a muffler? I gotta quiet this thing down and my fabrication skills will give way to a flex pipe any day!!!

Tried flex by the time I bent it, reduced it,(could only find 1 1/2") still had to build flange to bolt to engine then reduce it again to muffler I ran out of room and gave up. made it out of electrical thin wall tubing.

Found SS flex at autozone it works on a clone I put in. I had a header made for mine but the flex still going on the other one. Might be 1.25 or 1.5 not sure, but its on 1" black pipe on one end. I see tiny leaks at the clamps but does not seem to leak noise. It goes into a car muffler.

Hello chazdo2 Heres one I made for my G9 Harbor Freight 420 out of 1 and a quarter inch flex from the small engine place. It is at it's maximum bend and I hacked the flange off the stock Yamaha exhaust/ muffler had that welded then I flipped the stock big square muffler upside down and made a strap outa narrow thin Simpson tie to two skateboard truck insulators thru some aluminum plate straddling things on the swing arm. I will gladly show the photos to you but I am a newbie....can I drag them off my desktop? email me at <martyisaverb@cruzio.com> to see how . I puzzled for two weeks on this cuz I want that cart quiet and Yamaha "like". lol!!

I have an exhaust that I used on my cart when I had a clone motor in it. It wasn't very loud and it'll be a bolt on solution for you.

I used stainless flex pipe when I had my clone-swap-cart. Made it easy to mount the muffler because it let me mount it anywhere and not have to worry about causing binding when the suspension flexed.

I don't remember where I picked it up but It was less than $10 for 3 feet of it, plenty for a GC.
