You might want to look at float height and jetting on your carb.

I am using the tank that came with the motor gravity feed
it runs fine but once i turn it off it always has a hard time restarting
and the carb has no adjustment screws only idle set screw.

It's running too lean? They all do from the factory. Most likely the idle mixture screw is not adjustable. You can an adjustable carb thru Vegas Carts. Helps a lot.

If it has the plug over the screw just drill the plug out and richen the idle, that makes them start much better. If you change the stock airbox or exhaust you have to jet the carb, and even if you don't it wont run that great. The EPA has them on the edge of running, so basically they have to run 2000-3600 to run right.

betcha a dime to a donut that he probably does have an adjustment but their is a plastic cap over it and its located inboard , out of sight. but really your better off just ordering a better carb from vegas carts in the site sponsors section , since it has a bigger jet and is adjustable needle.
