Stud girdle
What are you other clone users with more than stock valve train doing? Using the VC stud girdle? Other solutions?

Re: Stud girdle
Look at NR, if they don't have them you likely don't need them. If its needed the kart guys will be using it. I have heard of the studs breaking, I think they upgrade them or swap to shaft rockers. Aside from the HD springs and 1.3 rockers (stamped) mine is all stock. I did run the button on both valves, and the spring seat on both...not on just one like stock does. Geoff says with the cheater cam the lift is unchaged so you don't need to upgrade the valvetrain because of that cam. With other cams I am certain you do, I think they replace everything with double spring cams.

Re: Stud girdle
I had 1:3 rockers installed on my 460 when i ordered it. It broke a stude almost immediately after 1st startup. VC sent me a new set of rocker studs and a girdle and have not had any problems sense (about 50 hours).

Re: Stud girdle
I wonder if lifan has better studs, as I never had an issue with the 1.3s and HD springs.

Re: Stud girdle
Another interesting note here.I misplaced the 1.0 rocker arm from my vegascarts engine after I installed the 1.3 billet rockers.I bought another set of 1.0 rockers off ebay. The metal used in this stamped rocker arm was noticeably thinner the the vegascarts unit. As some have suggested here all clones are not created equal.
