Default New G-9 Predator 670 Build

I am going to try to take pics this time. Got the engine in. Dropped down about 5 inches and extended frame about 6. Now the new problems. The shifter cable is now too short. I think moving it back to the frame and making a shaft to extend the shift knob might be a good idea. Looking for input here before I screw it up or do it 3 times before I get it right! Also brake cables are now too short. That doesn't look so bad. I guess just extending the cable holder bolt and maybe relocate the bracket may do it. Can you buy longer brake cables and shifter cables? Any help here greatly appreciated!! Like I said before my engineering skills have a lot to be desired!!!

I can't remember which cart you used but I can tell you what I did with my G1 when I dropped and extended my swing arm.

I used the longer passenger side cable on both sides for the brakes and they worked fine. For the shift cables, when I got my G2 rear differential for my cart I didn't get the cables or shifter. So I used a push/pull cable and boat motor shifter and made my own setup. It works great other than I need to find a shorter cable for it. I plan too get the aftermarket shifter for an automatic transmission and use it to replace this one for a more clean look when I get back to work on my cart.

With other carts the utility models can have longer frames, yamaha had the yamahauler and umax models but I don't know a lot about them....if you are looking to buy longer yami cables. TNT shows the parts online.

As usual " SHO " to the rescue!!!!! Thank you again and all of the rest of you guys who helped the less learned!!! Im gonna take a pic of the header I made for the Predator 670. I made it out of gas pipe and parts of the stock exhaust. Looks pretty good to me and has support struts! ( it even fits ) May not be much to some but this is my Mona Lisa!!!!! Seems like the more fabricating you try you get better! My welds no longer look like spattered bird sh%# and now look more like dimes laying over each other!!! This stuff is fun! Keeps us retired guys off the streets and out of trouble!!!
