ezgo rear end issue
Hi all, New problem I'm wondering if anyone might have an answer for. I;ve got a 99 ezgo with a honda v twin. It suddenly won't move forward or backwards. With the motor running, the clutches seem to work properly, the shaft of the driven clutch is spinning but nothing in the gearbox is engaged. It doesn't make any noise either as in I can't hear any grinding or chattering noises. Any ideas as to what is broken in there? Thanks for any help. Should I post this under Ezgo section?

Re: ezgo rear end issue
Take it for what it's worth, a buddy I have had about the same year cart as you and got a v twin, and the the gears inside the differential sheared up and became metal flakes in the gear lube. I'm not saying that's for sure what happened with yours I'm just saying we have experienced the same symptoms and that's what it was.

Re: ezgo rear end issue
First move the shift handle and see if it's moving the mechanism on the rear differential. It may not be moving it into gear at all!

Re: ezgo rear end issue
It's kind of funny.... THAT is the only thing I know about EZ-GO's!
Hopefully it'll be a quick, cheap fix! |
