Can I run CW clutches, CCW?
I have a 97 Club Car DS that I would like to do an inexpensive clone swap in.
My original engine is a CW rotation motor. Can I use my old clutches on a new 13HP CCW clone? Do I have to do any modifications to the clutches to change direction? I'm trying to do this swap on the cheap, and new clutches cost more than the motor. Also, what is the maximum HP I that the stock clutches can handle? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Re: Can I run CW clutches, CCW?
Primary yes - It is not recommend with higher HP engines, they explode. You will need to cut down the crank (Too Long) and drill and tap it.
Secondary - Optional - We have had people use there OEM secondary clutch. They do not get the performance they might have been after, but it does work. |
